We are currently recruiting a Web Designer for our Support Centre in Burlington, ON. Working closely with the Marketing and Advertising Team, the Web Designer will support the Website Manager in developing and maintaining online and internal website related projects.
Responsibilities
- Support online marketing initiatives with design/development
- Assist in creating e-mail marketing campaigns
- Act as a support and maintain positive relationships with all departments
- Work closely with the marketing and advertising teams to complete duties and projects on time
- Build websites for use on all types of browsers
- Develop online ads utilizing rich media
Qualifications
- Minimum three years design/development work experience with an online portfolio to back it up
- Strong Wordpress theming experience – please provide examples
- Magento Ecommerce platform development or working knowledge of similar platforms a HUGE bonus
- You are up to-date with Social media trends
- You can integrate Social media into websites i.e. Facebook Social Plugins
- Proven ability to write semantic markup and implement cutting-edge CSS techniques
- Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds (you can tame IE)
- Experience with PHP, JavaScript and JQuery libraries a plus
- Ability to create and send HTML email newsletters that render consistently across all major e-mail clients
- Flash skills for ad banners and online video – please provide examples
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and current technologies used for creative work
- Ability to take direction from senior team members and articulate creative ideas in a fast paced environment
