Traffic Manager - JWT - Lebanon

Job Overview
To progress the workflow from the Account Management to Production, through the Creative Department. The Traffic Manager works closely with Creative team, helping them raise the potential of their ideas, whilst ensuring all deadlines, both internal and external, are met.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assign job numbers using the Dolphin system and ensure the necessary information, creative brief and agreed schedule are filled in the daily job sheet
- Coordinate budgets and job timings with all departments about budgets and control the timing of jobs to ensure work is completed according to deadlines;
- Observe all necessary production mechanics to ensure that requirements for size, photo transparencies, illustrations, printing requirements, quantities etc are met;
- Circulate layouts, artworks and color proofs to Account Management for Creative approval by the client and forward any subsequent amendments to Creative team and follow-ups implemented
- Collect and ensure that all external suppliers’ invoices are accurate, follows-up on missing suppliers’ invoices and deals with possible under or over-estimated costs
- Update job status reports on a daily basis for Creative Director’s reference, and at the end of every month request an up-date from Account Management on the status of jobs that have been opened in order to produce a monthly status report on all jobs in the process
- Oversee the orderly filing of all artwork
- Collect costs from Studio and Creative team and prepare cost estimates for jobs
- Ensure that budgets do not over-run by keeping a tight control on all costs
- Ensure the correct allocation of staff to a job within the office, whilst seeking help from other Creative Departments throughout the region if insufficient staff is available locally for the work load, particularly when dealing with urgent jobs
- Recommend solutions to problems or delays through better coordination of departments
- Control all work-in progress through organized and efficient systems

Qualifications
- BA/BS in Advertising Design, Graphic Design or similar major is a must
- Min 2 years of experience in an Advertising (Traffic, Creative or Production departments).
- Computer skills: Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXpress, Microsoft Office
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of all production processes (print and broadcast)

- Team up and follow up with production department until approval of final print related product as per agency's standards
- Have first hand knowledge of social media and its impact in people's life to build campaigns around different platforms

Creative Director - Visualizing Impact - Lebanon

At VI, we are calling this job the 'Creative Project Manager'. We are looking for someone with both project management skills and experience working with creative teams.

Job description
This role is for creative professionals with a proven record of leading large and complex projects from planning to implementation. The Creative Project Manager/Creative Director is responsible for VI projects from A-Z, including coordinating project resources and handling liaison with the client.

Job level and position scope
This is a senior level position, ideal for a motivated person with creative and strategic vision, who can take initiative and lead a team of researchers, storytellers, designers, developers, and communications people to work closely to realize a project. The role covers the following areas: taking ownership, managing teams, creating project plans, documenting the creative process, identifying human resources, evaluating project outcomes, budget management and allocation and following up on project impact, the role may also include sourcing funding through grants, crowd funding, and other funding sources.

The Creative director leads the team and helps negotiate the multiple relationships within projects— whether with clients, team members, firm principals, or any variety of partners (such as freelancers, contractors, civic committees)—and functions as the hub of a project.

The job is a full time position based on a three-month trial period, after which a long-term contract is discussed.

Responsibilities
- Takeownership - Be accountable for the success or failure of projects under her/his leadership.
- Manage teams - Manage VI teams, including in-house, freelance, volunteer, and intern researchers, storytellers, designers, and data scientists; also, promote team synergy and negotiate conflicts.
- Budget planning and sourcing - Assess project budget with finance manager, help identify and manage source of funding, match budget with resources,
- Create project plans - Define project deliverables and deadlines; identify skills and resources needed for project completion.
- Document the creative process - Help build and document VI’s iterative creative culture; carefully document each iteration of a project to thoroughly capture the process underlying concept development and evolution.
- Define HR objectives - Identify missing skills within the team and work with HR specialists to define new roles, recruit, and evaluate talent.
- Take initiative - Proactively identify and solve problems that stall projects or interfere with team productivity.
- Negotiate Creative Tension - Personality management is a huge part of any creative director or project manager's job – this includes promoting team synergy, assembling teams that work well together, identifying and capitalizing on strengths of individual team members, and managing creative tension.
- Evaluate project outcomes - Carry out project process until after project completion to monitor the realization of planned project outcomes.
- Follow-up on project Impact - Assess project outcomes and influence to determine impact and create feedback loop.
- This job requires you to be based in the VI office in Beirut.

Skills and Experience
- Comfort with creative tension and ability to channel it toward realizing the project vision.
- Substantial experience in creative direction or project management with creative teams (about 3 years)
- Proven ability to take a large, multifaceted project from A-Z with an interdisciplinary team.
- Firm technical understanding of creative fields (such as graphic design, animation, architecture, advertising, etc.), in order to effectively provide constructive criticism and feedback to other creaties on the team and evaluate project success or failure.
- Proactive problem solver who is organized, hard working, and efficient.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate team symmetry and coordinate with team members working remotely.
