As a Web Design / Development Nerd, you work closely with our Lead Web Nerd on creating design- and experience-oriented web properties that get the public talking. In this role you will also collaborate with our entire Nerd team and play an important role during the full project cycle — from concept to final product to later updates and optimizations.
Skills
- Brain
- Experience and demonstrated success with PHP, Javascript, and all the constantly evolving implementations and branches of HTML.
- Strong knowledge of the jQuery framework, Mobile Webkit Javascript, and experience with CSS3 and Internet Explorer filters.
- Bonus points for knowing what’s required to achieve true cross-browser compatibility, and how to achieve it.
- Familiarity with Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong English communication skills and an appreciation for the importance of impeccable design and UI / UX experiences are most definitely required.
- Balls
- No fear of diving into unknown depths of web development and (intelligently) breaking a few rules in the process.
