Graphic Designer - Grand Cinemas - Lebanon

Create digital design and program elements to help support global marketing initiatives for KPI-JCI, providing both digital and traditional creative program development and execution. This includes but is not limited to creating collateral materials, including brochures, newsletters, e-mails, programs, and invitations. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for ensuring adherence to KPI-JCI Global Brand Standards while providing insight and best practice input for new solutions and approaches

- Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts.
- Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
- Generate new images for the Marketing Department.
- Prepare layouts for printer by marking up, pasting and assembling final layouts.
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
- Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations and other artwork, using a computer.
- Confer with the Marketing Department to discuss and determine layout design.
- Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, sales tools, and websites.
- Enter information into computer equipment to create layouts for Marketing Department.
- Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material.
- Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products or services.
- Prepare notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing and assume responsibility of the preparation.
- Develop negatives and prints to produce layout photographs, using negative and print developing equipment and tools.
- Meet with Marketing Department and adjust designs to fit their needs or taste.
- Work with others, such as photographers, videographers, printers, programmers, developers or other technicians, to complete the final product.
- Design ad hoc signage based on current brand standards.
- Work with Marketing Director and Associates on next generation branding and standards.
- Design web pages and work with internal technologists to implement using standards-based web technologies such as HTML, RAILS and CSS.
- Illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Conceptualize enterprise and market trends/issues and integrate into marketing and business strategies.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design preferred, or at least 5 years of actual design experience.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML, scanning and text recognition and other multimedia applications.
- Skills in visual art and web design with some experience using web/multimedia design tools (Dreamweaver, Fireworks) and web-based programming (HTML, Rails, ASP, JavaScript, etc.).
- Knowledge of design elements, such as color and composition, is vital.
- Knowledge of design software programs such as the full Adobe Suite and PowerPoint. Must have general interest in computers and an aptitude for learning additional new technology.
- Ability to operate general office equipment including telephone, computer, calculator, photocopier, and fax machine. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, Internet software, and E-mail. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferable.
- Knowledge of various print processes including sheet-fed, 4-color and spot-color.
