Accomplishes art department work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching employees.
Understand and master the brand including strategy and components of the visual language, typography, palette, iconography and other graphic elements.
Adapt and apply the brand to various deliverables in a manner that drives both consistency and creative problem solving to achieve the highest impact.
Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
Meets art department cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.
Maintain and organize archives of assets, tools and source files in a way that promotes collaborative resource sharing. Balance multiple projects at any one time, understand priorities, and be flexible to quickly change focus as priorities evolve.
Formulates art concepts by supervising workers engaged in executing layout designs for art work and copy to be presented by visual communications media. Make sure that job deadlines are met in due time, ensuring that job quality is nothing short of the best. Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes.
