We are a post-production company that specializes in Visual Effects, motion design and editing for Films, TV, Commercials, Documentaries, and innovative visual projects.
Becoming a Councillor
- Our team of Councillors are ‘serious amateurs’. We’re fun but productive. Self starters able to work in the usually challenging conditions of visually driven content creation environments.

- Working hours are from 9am to 6pm, but work tends to be carried out outside normal working hours, every now and then.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts, Audio Visual or Graphic Design or a three year working experience in the Media field. Languages: English, Arabic. French is a plus.

In your job (Roles and Responsibilities).
Once appointed a Councilor, and to complement our team of VFX artists, motion designers, illustrators, and film editors, you will:
- Ensure that all The Council's resources are operating efficiently.
- Provide assistance to freelance resources, introducing facilities policies and procedures.
- Maintain and restock office supplies.
- Ensure efficient operation of the post production process, from the arrival of the original data files through the delivery of the final product to the client.
- Produce and follow up projects from beginning till completion.
- Maintain accurate scheduling of equipment, post production suites, meetings and deliverables.
- Schedule regular equipment maintenance.
- Assist artist to perform their tasks within the required schedule and budget.
- Respond to content delivery requests from clients.
- Create, initiate and maintain forms to track resource usage and expenditures.
Administrative responsibilities
- Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
- Maintain workflow by studying methods; implement cost reductions; and develop reporting procedures.
- Send and prepare invoices and receipts for clients.
- Follow up on client payments.
- Ensure all company project transactions are well documented and archived.
Client servicing
- Host client visitors: meet and greet hospitality, provide assistance when needed.
- Complete operational requirements by managing job time sheets and project sheets; scheduling and assigning administrative projects; expediting and reporting work results.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Production assistance (If/When needed)
- Be a ‘data wrangler’: back up video material from cards and drives
- Encode files for DVD and web use
- Author DVDs, duplicate small quantities of DVDs
- Negotiate permissions and facilities fees for location filming
- Subtitle productions

Graphic Designer / Production Assistant - Mixed Media

As the two positions of Graphic Designer and Production Assistant will be merged into one job role, your primary task will be to oversee creative layouts of ads, leaflets, brochures, invitations and the flagship title, Canvas magazine and produce professional print-ready hi-res files in Adobe InDesign, in addition to the following skills:

- Proficiency in In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Photo retouching and colour correction (taking into consideration the type of printing and the paper used)
- Knowledge of Packaging:
. Checking high-res images and retouching
. Ability to trace efficient die cuts
. Attention to detail: checking colour uniformity, font style, size, etc.
. Checking pagination
- Prepress settings and procedure of offset and digital printing:
. Ability to check printed samples and sheets and perform any necessary corrections with a focus on replacing the right pages and maintaining the correct pagination.
. A keen interest in graphic design and an artistic flair. A team player, ability to multi-task, ;take high-resolution photographs when required and handle printing requests.
. Applicant must be fluent in English.
. Experience in Arabic design is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Additional notes concerning work on Canvas magazine
- Checking on a wide range of images and reporting analyzing their size, quality and dimensions.
- Working closely with the Art Director and Editorial department to fulfill main tasks and take of any other tasks as needed, including files from the archives, pdfs, print jobs and any- necessary graphic related tasks.
- Finalizing articles to place on the magazine book after completing the notes mentioned above, and maintaining an eye for detail as changes in some sections may affect others.
- Creating mock-ups and clearly briefing the Production Manager on any special operations, supplying each brief with printouts and a description to the job.

You’ll be part of our web production team, forming a liaison between designers and developers in the cycle of websites production. The job involves building web pages and maintaining websites, using industry standard tools. You’ll be creating and updating HTML code, utilizing CSS formatting and layout techniques, editing and preparing web images, using CMS systems to manage/update websites and optimizing code for better performance.

Qualifications
- University Degree in Computer Science, Multimedia or any equivalent degree.
